In 2019 The Rotary Club of Lewes donated £1,500 to the Youth Music Service in East Sussex.

 

There has been a collaboration between the Rotary Club of Lewes and the Schools Music services for over 30 years. In November the Annual Youth Concert was again held in Lewes Town Hall and over 100 Young musicians played to a large audience of parents and friends plus invited guests, including the Town Mayor, the Chair of Lewes District Council and the Queens representative, Miss Veronica Hamilton-Deeley, DL.

 

Rotary underwrites the event and guarantees a donation of £1,000, but has again raised sufficient funds to increase this sum. The money will be used to support young people who wish to learn to play a musical instrument.
